Description of Duties: May include but not limited to:

  • Accounts Receivable: Process electronic payments; prepare incoming checks, ACH and credit card payments for deposit; Research client and agent accounts for proper cash application within industry-specific software
  • Accounts Payable: Reconcile and prepare payment for insurance carrier payables; code and disburse payment for vendor payables, employee expense reports, and corporate credit card expenses
  • Commission Reconciliation and Payables: Print, review and process carrier commission payments, and broker/agent/dealer commission payable statements and disbursements
  • Monitor accounts for past due invoices and perform collection activity
  • Research and evaluate return premium funds to determine proper disbursement to clients, agents, and finance companies

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or Finance
  • 1+ years’ experience in insurance industry preferred but not required
  • Will work with business partners as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
  • Will identify and own process improvements and other projects from beginning to end
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to handle changing priorities
  • Strong Excel skills a plus!

Description:

Provide superior service on assigned commercial lines accounts of varying complexity.  Marketing of renewal policies, premium negotiations, preparing of insurance proposals and summaries, policy reviews and comparisons, invoicing and assisting the producer with presentations to the client and client visits when requested.  Process New Business once the account is bound, sending order instructions, request outstanding information, invoicing.  May be assigned special projects by the Team Leader as needed from time to time.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Provides technical support to Producer
  • Renewals: coordinates with Producer the renewal strategy on specific accounts; usually takes the lead in the renewal process unless instructed otherwise by the Producer.
  • Renewals: submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers, follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations
  • Prepares proposals as needed for renewals
  • Orders and issues binders, policies, endorsements and other related items, verifies their accuracy, delivers with appropriate correspondence
  • Determines if direct billing, agency billing or premium financing is appropriate and invoices accordingly
  • Ensures timely receipt of policies and facilitates correction when necessary
  • Reviews audits of policies, verifying accuracy and facilitates corrections as needed. Monitors timely collection of audits
  • Facilitate the request, receipt and processing of all endorsements.
  • Process incoming e-mail, phone, fax and regular mail requests, responding promptly and appropriately
  • Follow agency credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payment.
  • Process and follow up on cancellations requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution, maintaining agency financial equity
  • Additional service functions essential to provide the customer / broker the quality and service standards developed by the agency.

Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and \ or ability required:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience or a 5 years insurance experience
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
  • Ability to understand written and oral communication, and interpret abstract information.
  • Ability to write and/or understand routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to analyze complex insurance situations, needs and options with little or no supervision and communicate these options both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts in relation to insurance premium both for policy premium and endorsements.
  • Intermediate level of expertise for Outlook, Excel, Word, and any industry – specific programs. ex: agency management systems and\or company proprietary rating or underwriting systems.

Description:

Responsible for sales activities, from lead generation through close, working with local, retail independent agents to provide a comprehensive, cost-effective insurance program that meets and or exceeds the client’s needs or requirements.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Work with Account manager, giving direction on the marketing or handling of specifically identified renewals
  • Monitor and participate in the retention of renewals
  • Develop annual business plan, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through various means such as referrals, lists, telephone canvassing, e-mail, direct mail, and networking.
  • Develop said qualified leads to receipt or creation of submissions
  • Develop submissions into customers through obtaining competitive quotes/ solutions and binding the accounts.
  • Assist in the implementation of Norman-Spencer marketing plans as needed
  • Demonstrate the ability to gather and submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of final proposal
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including but not limited to sales calls, quotes, closed sales and follow-up activities (FUNY)
  • Remain aware of the importance of the profitability of their book of business.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
